Cork
The project was created in order to find an environmentally friendly material. The first recipients of this project are designers who are the creators of our reality - they can do a lot of good but also evil. The goal was to give them a responsible and sustainable solution for further development. The main raw material in this project is one of the most sustainable materials in the world - cork.
Cork oaks do not need to be felled to obtain it, and trees that are stripped off absorb more CO2. You can harvest cork from the same tree every 9 years.
Cork is flame retardant, lightweight, antibacterial, hydrophobic, has high sound and thermal insulation and supports bio-diversity. Cork forests are a place of life for those in danger species such as the Aquila adalberti, Aegypius monachus and Linx pardinus.
The process of creating materials
Dust and cork granules was used, as it is bio-waste in production processes.
During my experiments, I rejected potato starch binders or UVA light-hardened photopolymer resin and bigger cork granules fractions.
The important message is to keep trying and not giving up despite failures. Many of the experiments (probably half) in this project have failed, but without them I would not have had this effect and I would not have learned as much.
Cloth Hangers
Cloth Hangers
βThe sad reality is that 85% of hangers end their life in landfill. Just in US 8 billions hangers are thrown away every year.β

New utility process
No more stretching of collars and breaking of hangers.
The subject of ecology may seem tiring for some people or it can be understood as a lifestyle or a trend. In my opinion, this is a topic that should not go silent, on the contrary, people should be reminded of it until the problem is completely resolved.
